Marriage is something special that two people share when they are in love. They devote the rest of their lives to each other once they make this life changing decision. I never really thought about marriage being based solely on money until I read this article. It actually made me smile in nervousness… I couldn’t help but ask myself: will my economic status affect my marriage? I won’t lie to you or myself, so this article in all honesty made me think twice about what I’m doing with my life! I felt confused when I read it because I was unsure if love was truly determined by money, unsure if marriage would fall apart if money all of a sudden disappeared. It made me wonder if I was still the reason for my parent’s divorce or have I finally found someone else to blame it on? Yes! I’ve found it, the root of all evil – MONEY! I would like to further explore this thesis in order to truly determine whether or not “marriage is based on $$”. I plan to ask married couples questions about how they met and if they were aware of their partners’ financial stability. Maybe this will further help me decide about my life in the future –Just kidding, of course! I believe one falls for their personality and not their money. True love has no expectations; otherwise it is not true love.
