judging a book - skin

October 20th, 2008 by logger

-Man waiting for someone

-Afraid of light

-Light could be at the beginning or the end of the tunnel

-author’s name capitalized and bigger than title

-puddles on floor

-Author’s first letter of his last name is in Red (native background)

-Man possibly waiting for someone

-Man in his 40’s

-The author’s name is placed where the title usually is

-The title of the book takes the shape of a person

-The light at the end of the tunnel (sign of Hope)

-Winter-man dressed for winter (Isn’t it a raincoat?)

-Underground tunnel - Water filtration plant (man dressed up for it)

-Man is holding something in his hand (brown paper bag)

-Prediction - Man could be a worker in the water plant (could be a terrorist)

-Colours - Black and white are predominant.

-Long Coat

-Time Period - 1920’s and 30’s

- Looks like the man is skipping work

-Man trapped in the darkness (sign of hope)

-Looking forward to the completion of the water plant

-Water (personifies life)

-Darkness in Life (reflection of darkness in water)

-Why is the brown bag in the tunnel?

-Title - Why is the title not on one line? ( feels broken)

Tunnel personifies as Lion and feels as if the man is in a Lion’s Den

-Actual Meaning of the title - You killed the lion and you are wearing his skin.

-You feel courageous because you killed a lion

-Man is wearing dark clothes - he is not noticed

-Wear skins - To keep you warm, to feel superior, to feel confident, to put on a new identity
